Sam, a significant element is inaccurate in both of your Files. Scribe freelancers, who care deeply about prioritizing the authors and their books, are still onboard. Except for a very small handful who resigned or were let go, hundreds remain under contract, are still on company tech, stay in regular communication with staff and one another, and have met with new ownership. There is a current holding pattern on billable work until the sale is locked and loaded, but dozens and dozens of freelancers are on deck to resume projects in process.

Hi Kelly, thanks for reading. I never said they were not- in fact, in both initial Files, I both had those people participate and acknowledged their willingness to keep working with their authors. I did not know about any communication from the new ownership- thank you for that new information, and will make sure to include it!

As someone who was along with my book, these are shocking and disappointed by these revelations, and I know risky it is to go so hard against such established and powerful people.

Thank you for being a beacon shining a light on scum who even in this hour are trying to throw fellow rats under the bus to save their own skin.

Excellent reporting as always, Sam.

I personally wouldn't trust Chas or Amanda Hoppe as far as I could throw them. They were stirring the kool-aid all along.

As for Jevon and Meghan, I certainly hope justice finds them.

Thanks for the update Sam. I’m sure you’ve already seen the new announcement about Enduring Ventures now taking over until the sale has officially processed. Any thoughts on that?

Thanks Mathieu, I appreciate it. Until a sale goes through, I'm skeptical. But slightly-optimistically skeptical, which is better than where I was before.
